Mission Statement

The mission of the Mifflin County Industrial Development Corporation is to promote the growth of employment and income in Mifflin County by using technical and financial resources from MCIDC and federal, state, and local agencies and individuals to encourage and assist business and industrial formation, retention, and expansion.

About MCIDC

MCIDC is a private, non-profit corporation that’s mission is very fundamental and basic to our County. Our mission is to bring jobs to Mifflin County and to help create a business-friendly atmosphere and environment where companies can grow and expand. As a resource for many State and Federal programs, MCIDC will work with companies within the County to assist them in securing loans, or grants where applicable, tailored to their needs, and walk through the application process with the appropriate Governmental authority.

MCIDC owns and operates the MCIDC Plaza, leasing space to companies interested in warehousing or manufacturing. The Plaza is currently home to over 20 on-site businesses. The MCIDC Park is a zoned industrial park designed for those companies that want to build a new facility. A new limited access highway entrance and exit ramp within the Park allows easy access to Route 322 for truck traffic. The Park is served by Juniata Valley Railroad, has KOZ sites available in small parcels, and currently houses Trinity Paper and Packaging, GE Inspection Technologies, Meridian Rail Acquisition LLC, DME Milicron, Buckell Plastics, Marlette Homes, Overhead Door, and other companies.
